Tesla's Revenue Decline: A Shift in Strategy?

On a day packed with corporate earnings reports, Tesla's announcement stood out. The company's revenue for the final quarter of 2025 fell by 3% compared to the previous year, totaling $24.9 billion. For the entire year, revenue dipped to $94.8 billion, a notable decrease from $97.7 billion in 2024.
Net profit took an even bigger hit, dropping 61% to $840 million in the quarter, resulting in an annual profit of $3.8 billion, a sharp decline from $7.1 billion in 2024.

Tesla's shares responded positively, rising about 2.2% in after-hours trading. However, the same cannot be said for tech giant Microsoft, which, despite strong earnings, saw its shares fall more than 6% in after-hours trading on Wednesday due to concerns about its record-breaking capital spending.
